Hello all!

Hope your quarter is going well. This week we will be meeting at NS2 2120 from 5-6pm. Come help us prepare for the Wayzgoose Festival. We will be making posters and small periodic table element cards. Light refreshments will be provided.

Wayzgoose is happening Saturday, April 20 from 10-5 pm. Please swing by our booth (Booth 16) to buy cupcakes! We will be selling shirts as well. Hope to see you then!

For Week 9, we won’t be having a meeting. Instead we’re having a fundraiser!

What: Chemistry Club fundraiser

When: Tuesday, March 5. 6-9 PM
Who: YOU! And anyone who loves pizza and/or Chemistry Club.
Why: Help support Chemistry Club and make more field trips & meetings possible.

Hi all!

This coming week we will be having Dr. Timothy Bradley talk about food myths. He will be focusing in on which diets work (or don’t work) and why. Dr. Bradley teaches human physiology and human nutrition. He offers refreshing insight on balanced meals and proper dieting!

Light refreshments will be provided. We will be meeting this Wednesday from 5-6pm at NS1 4112. Hope to see you there!

Hey Everyone!

This Thursday will be the last meeting. It will be an elections and a banquet right after.

Most of the officers are going to be graduating so alot of spots will be open. If you are interested, please prepared a short speech no more then 2 minutes long. I highly recommend you to run for 1 or more positions. The Elections are held at NS II 2nd floor lobby at 6:00pm. Please come and run or vote for your fellow members.

Hey Chemistry Club!

Hope your Week 3 is off to a good start!

Here's a quick heads-up about what's coming up in Chemistry Club.

1. *Thursday, Week 3 meeting*
We will have our own Jiten Patel come talk about pharmacy school. As a
recent admit to USC, he has experience with the pharmacy school application
process. Come by* NS2 2nd floor lounge at 6:00* to hear more! We'll also
have cookies  

2. *T-shirts*
T-shirts are in! The T-shirt sign-up sheet was passed around in the Week 1
meeting, but we have extras in case you didn't get your order in. Please
come by Week 3 meeting to pick up your shirts. For members, T-shirts are
free.  Shirts are $15 each for non-members.

3. *Wayzgoose!*
This Saturday 4/21, Chemistry Club will be selling cookies, refreshments
and other snacks. Please come by anytime between 10:00-5:00pm (wearing your
club T-shirt) to support the club and to help out! More details will be
discussed in the Week 3 meeting.

4. *Bonfire*
According to Chemistry Club tradition, we will have a bonfire in Week 5.
Dr. Tobias will also be joining us. Dinner and rides are provided. Please
invite your friends and come hungry! More details to come.

5. *Membership*
In case you haven't turned in your club membership, we are still accepting
applications. You may come by this Thursday to fill out the form. Also,
membership is $40. Please bring it in cash or check.

Welcome back everyone!

We hope you had a great spring break and are ready for the start of spring
quarter!

*Week 1 Meeting (Thursday 4/5/12)*

For our first meeting this quarter, we will be having a PIZZA SOCIAL. Enjoy
some food as we talk about our plans for Wayzgoose and the remainder of the
year.

We also might have a guest speaker from the Physical Science Mentor
Program.  For those of you who have not yet paid club dues for this
academic year, we will still accept them.  Shirts will be handed out at the
Week 3 meeting so be sure to have your membership paid by then.  In
addition, we will have sign-up sheets for several events that will take
place outside of our meetings this quarter.

The meeting will be held at a new location in NS2 Second Floor Lounge @6pm.
Make sure to note the NEW time and place!

* *Graduate Student Panel and FREE PIZZA***

Hey Chem Clubbers. This Thursday 3/8 we will be meeting at 6:30p.m. in NS2
1201. We will be having a graduate student panel. If you ever wondered what
to do after you finish your degree in Chemistry, or have questions about
pursuing a Masters or PhD in Chem, be sure to come out to this meeting.
Find out what life is like as a graduate student, and how they got to where
they are today. Come with questions and enjoy FREE PIZZA as well!

This week we will be hearing from Ruben on the Grad school application process. Lean the do’s and don’ts of choosing schools, GRE’s, and letter of RECs and make sure you are prepared! Our meeting is Thursday 2/23 @ NS2 1202.
