More than anything, what CHSC loves is to see CHPers participate in our events! That's why, starting Spring quarter, we are implementing a rewards program for participation!

So how do points get awarded?
Points get awarded to EACH INDIVIDUAL who
attends or volunteers for an event. Each individual belongs to a specific group.
What group do the points I earn go to?
To the housing community where you live! That means either:
Arroya Vista
Mesa Court
Middle Earth
Other On-Campus (CV, VDC, Norte)
Commuter
How many points can I earn for attending
different events?
Points will be awarded to EACH INDIVIDUAL according to the following:
CHSC events (Broomball, BotB, Semi-formal, ANY event hosted by CHSC): 2 points
CHSC general meetings (Wednesdays of every odd week from 5-6 in the Locus): 3 points
Volunteering to help with CHSC events (e.g., Coffee Hour, BotB, Semi-formal, etc. ): 4 points
Participate in a fundraising event (TV taping, Boomer’s night, etc.): 4 points
Hosting a Stay-Over guest in the spring (commuters, you can volunteer to help plan the events for these evenings to get points): 5 points
Council members cannot earn points by the methods listed above. Instead,
each council member gets a point stipend (amount determined by staff advisor) that will be applied to their group.
So how long will I be able to rack up points
for my group?
You have until the CHSC
General Meeting held in Week 9 to earn as many points as you can for
your group, and that includes anyone who shows up for the Week 9 CHSC
general meeting to earn three points per person! (And a chance to win a
raffle with the tickets we hand out at every general meeting)
Speaking of, what exactly are we working
towards?
The winning group will all be invited to a CHSC-sponsored pizza party (or taco party.
or In-N-Out party. You’ll just have to wait and see!) in their honor to thank them for their continued participation
in our events.
How is the winning group determined?
Final scores will be normalized based on participation - that means that we divide the number of points you earn
by the number of people that helped earn those points.
Is there any way we can keep track of who's
winning, like the penny drive?
Updated points will be sent out each week in CHP news, so look to the
side for up-to-date standings! We will also be keeping track of points
in the Locus, and it will be updated every Wednesday after the CHSC
meetings!
Does the individual who earns the most points
get anything?
Yes! The individual who participates in the most activities (with
regards to the points sytem above) will receive a gift certificate and a
special award at the end of the quarter to thank them for their
participation.
Sweet! So when does this program start?
