Bulletin

Bulletin Editor: Liz Ly

Job Description: The bulletin editor is responsible for creating a monthly club newsletter to distribute to all members. She promotes the District Newsletter and International Circle K Magazine, as well as encourages members to take part in creating the newsletter through articles, photos, comments and shout outs. Our bulletin editor also works closely with the secretary to manage and submit articles from members, to our District Newsletter, Sunburst, and the International Circle K Magazine.

Fundraising

Fundraising Chair: Sarah Martin

Job Description: By working closely with the treasurer, the Fundraising Chair help create expansive fundraising programs such as Mr. CKI and KBBQ sales, and keep the club updated on progress towards our goals. They work toward meeting a goal set by board and educates the club on charities and causes. Their main goal is to arrange fundraisers for outside organizations to help our wonderful community.

Committee Member Duties: Brainstorming new ideas and planning for upcoming fundraisers such as Mr. CKI

-Thank you for supporting Not For Sale at our Service Auction!!!
-Thank you for supporting us at the Winter Rally Involvement Fair!!! We raised $31 dollars for our club!!!
-Thanks for supporting the Eliminate Project by buying Valentine grams and making that special someone smile!
-Thank you for organizing and making MR. CKI a success!!! We raised over $1100 for Project Eliminate!
-Thank you for supporting us for our last Korean BBQ sale of the fall quarter!!! We raised $201 for Project Eliminate and $101 for Pedtriatic Truama Program (PTP) during the fall quarter.

Kiwanis Family [K-Fam] Relations

K-Fam Relations Chairs: Carl Miya and Linda Thai

Job Description: As K-Family Chairs, it is their duty to maintain good relations with the Kiwanis Family by attending Kiwanis meetings, keeping updated with events in the Kiwanis family to inform the club, and planning Key to College for Key Clubs and high school students in the community and Kiwanis Takeovers as fundraisers for upcoming district events such as FTC and DCON.

Membership Development & Education [MD&E]

MD&E Chair: Anthony Tran

Job Description: As the MD&E Chair, it is their duty to educate members about Circle K by holding educational workshops such as CKI 101, which gives a brief overview of Circle K on the international and district level to show members how much more there is to this club; and addressing questions about our club. The MD&E Chair is also responsbile for organizing orientation to recruit new members during week 0 of the fall quarter, which includes the supervision of filming the orientation video.

Member Recognition Program [MRP]

Job Descriptions: The MRP Chair is responsible for: organizing families within our club at UCI, planning the New Member Installation/Induction event and programs/events to promote club and membership retention such as Inter-Family Potluck and Assassins; recognizing members who has gone above and beyond their full potential through programs like: MoM and MoW; and distributing raffle prizes of the week at general meetings.

Committee Member Duties: Brainstorming ideas for huge familiy socials such as Family Day and Assassins.

Public Relations [PR]

PR Chairs: Abhinav Mohan and Sarina Saldana

Job Description: Responsiblities include: making flyers to post around the campus, and promoting and advertising our club and club events. The PR Chairs hold membership drives, such as tabling throughout the year, and work with all chairs on publicizing all of the upcoming events in Circle K at UCI. They are responsible for seeking promotion through campus, community newspapers, popular online media such as facebook and twitter, radio stations and televisions.

Scrapbook

Scrapbook Chair: Amy Hoang

Job Description: Creating a scrapbook recording all the achievements and service projects the amazing members have accomplished for the year to present at DCON.

Committee Meeting:

Wednesday, March 22th: 6:30-11pm at TBA

Committee Member Duties: Brainstorming ideas for non-traditional scrapbooks, contributing to building the scrapbook for DCON and helping to gather all service and social pictures of the year.

Single Service

Single Service Chairs: Kathy Dong and Imran Ahmed

Job Descriptions: The Single Service Chairs need to run at least one large scale project per quarter. Such projects involve people from other universities, clubs and communities. The Chairs are also responsible to help provide as much service activities for our club as possible that caters to the District Service Initiative (DSI), a service theme proposed by CNH District.

Committee Meeting: EVERY TUESDAY at 5pm-6pm before the general meetings in Dohney Beach A

Commitee Member Duties: Brainstorming, creating, and organizing large scale service projects to help the community

Announcements

-Thank you for coming out to our service projects and committee meetings this year!!!
-Thank you for helping out and participating in Arts for All! We had about 200 people attend from Circle K and Best Buddies!!! ALSO we contributed to 800 service hours during our Single Service Week!!!

-Congrats to the Pokemon Trainer Family for being the top donator of the Art Supplies Donation Drive

-Thank you so much for participating in "So You Think You Can Donate?" and donating cans for the OC food bank. We were able to provide to many families with an outstanding donation of almost 2000 cans plus other unperishable goods, weighing 575 lbs!!! Everyone deserves a round of applause!!!

Spirit/Social

Spirit/Social Chairs: Andy Nguyen and Elmore Villaruel

Job Description: Spirit/Social Chairs are responsible for planning large and small scale socials for the year such as: Snocial, game night, karaoke night, and Defense of the Green Thrones. In addition, they arrange transportation for social events, and make sure every member of the club feels welcomed and cared for. Their most important job is to emphasize spirit by creating new cheers, teaching cheers and leading cheer sessions!

Committee Member Duties: Creating new cheers and upcoming socials and practicing new and famous UCI cheers

Technology

Technology Chair: Karen Truong

Job Description: As the Technology Chair, the chair is responsible for building and managing the Circle K Website, staying up-to-date about upcoming service projects, fundraisers and socials. The chair also represents UC Irvine Circle K on the web and must protray professionalism on the website at all times.

-Calling out all amazing artists to help create more banners for the Circle K Website!!! Here are the requirements for the banner:
-"UCI CIRCLE K" phrase [large enough to be noticable on the banner]
-Dimensions: 941px x 140px
-Tagline: And the winner is…service
-Theme: Super Smash Bros.
-Characters/Families: King Dedede, Sonic, Kirby, Link, Pikachu, Ganondorf, Pokemon Trainer, Metaknight, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong [at least 1 character, but having them all is nice as well]
-Background Color: any color that will match the current color scheme of the website [black and blue]
