Welcome to the month of October everyone!
As you have noticed since our first general meeting, the new website has been launched and I hope everyone has been having a great time exploring the website. The website is still under construction on some pages and will be completed as soon as possible!!! If you are interested in helping out with the website and joining the tech committee please feel free to contact me, Karen Truong, Technology Chair.
If you have any new ideas and suggestions for the website please don't hesitate to fill out our Suggestion Forum, which can be found under the meeting box, on the left side of the website. The chatbox is used for quick questions and comments.
TODAY is our Kiwanis Family Committee Meeting at 6pm in HICH 100K. If you don’t know where HICH is, don’t worry!!! Meet up with our Kiwanis Family Chairs, Carl and Linda, at the Science Library at 5:50pm and walk together over to the meeting. Help Carl and Linda plan a takeover of a Kiwanis meeting to raise funds for: Fall Training Conference (FTC), one of our huge events of the year coming soon in early November. Snacks will be provided.
TOMORROW, October 4, is our general meeting at 6:30pm in HSLH 100A!!! We will also be having a bonfire right after the meeting so please bring some warm clothing to the meeting with you!
Drop by the Single Service Committee Meeting, held tomorrow, October 4, at 5pm in HH 236 and help brainstorm and plan ideas for future large scale service projects.
OR Drop by the Member Recognition Program (MRP) Committee Meeting, held tomorrow, October 4, at 5pm in HH 118 and help plan the upcoming Family Retreat and new ways to recognize members.
Member applications are due by October 11, in order for you to be a part of our member induction night. HOWEVER, member applications will be accepted throughout the year, so if you have friends interested later on in the year, we are glad to accept them wiith open arms!!! PLEASE return all member applications with your dues to Goldie Tang, our Treasurer, before and after the meeting. If you can’t make meetings because of class, its okay, contact Goldie and arrange a time to meet up with her.
Remember to check out our calendar for our amazing WEEKLY EVENTS and WEEKEND EVENTS!!! Today is Think Together at 2:50pm. Remember to meet up at the flagpoles and all rides are provided so all you have to do is be excited for the service project!!!
Get excited for the Crazy Kompetition for Infants (CKI) South!!! CKI South is a fundraising events that brings together all of Circle K's in Southern California to compete against each other in relay races!!! CKI South fundraises for Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP), which is one of our District Fundraising Inititatives (DFI) that focuses on education and training in the areas of pediatric trauma and injury prevention.
CKI South will be help next Saturday, October 15, and the registration fee is ONLY $5!!! Early Registration is due by October 8th so don't forget your $5 dollars on Tuesday during the general meeting!!! All fees should be paid to our treasurer, Goldie Tang.
The first general meeting is TODAY at 6:30pm in HSLH 100A. However at 6:10pm, we will be meeting up at either the student center terrace or Middle Earth basketball courts to escort anyone who can't find HSLH 100A.
The theme for our meeting is school spirit, so please come out to our meeting with UCI spirit!!!. Our social will be at In n' Out.
TOMORROW there will be a Spirit/Social Committee meeting from 5pm-6pm at the Courtyard Study Louge room #1. The agenda for today will be brainstorming ideas for the upcoming Fall Training Conference (FTC) Talent Show. Ideas need to be submitted by October 14 so we need your help!!!
Welcome back to school everyone!!!
Our FIRST general meeting will be held this TUESDAY at 6:30pm in HSLH 100A, which is right across from the Science Library. The theme for our meeting is: School Spirit!!! Come dressed in gold and blue and have the change to win a gift card at the UCI Bookstore!!! We will be having our social at In n' Out instead of Irvine Lanes this week!!!
If you don't know where HSLH is, that's okay we will be having board escorts, wearing our amazing blue Circle K shirts, stationed at the Student Center terrace near the ATM machines and at Middle Earth basketball courts. Please meet us there by 6:10pm!!!
Today Circle K will be tabling on ring road, near Student Services II, from 9am-3pm so please stop by and show how great of a club we are!!! Member applications will be available as well so stop by to pick one up and remember to return them to Goldie Tang, our Treasurer with the member dues.
Goldie is free to collect member applications on Tuesday during the beginning and ending of the general meeting, Wednesday from 1:15pm-3:15pm at Starbucks and Thursday from 11:15am-2:45pm at Starbucks.

CKI South is coming up on October 15th!!! CKI (Crazy Kompetition for Infants) South is a huge fundraiser that brings all of Circle K's in Southern California together to compete in a bunch of relay games. Orientations for the New Circle K year are held THIS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH, from 6pm-8pm at Crystal Cove Auditorium and THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21TH, from 6pm-8pm at Emerald Bay A/B/C.
Orientations are info sessions of what Circle K can offer you as a potential or returning member. Try to come out to at least one orientation! ALSO our never before seen 2011-2012 Orientation Video will be FINALLY REVEALED!!!
2011-2012 Member Applications will be available during Involvement Fair and Orientation Days!!! Definitely pick one up and join our amazing club!!!
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST, IS THE DAY UCI WILL ATTEMPT TO BREAK THE WORLD RECORD OF HOLDING THE LARGEST DODGEBALL GAME!!! More information about the game can be found on HERE!!! Join us to be a part of this amazing event and support our Korean BBQ sale which will both be held at ARC Fields starting at 1pm!!!
Our first service project of the 2011-2012 school year will be Surf City Surf Dog on Sunday, September 25!!!
