You are cordially invited to the 2nd annual EWH Welcome Event 2012!
THE EVENT: The event will take place in the Student Center South, Balboa Island A (level 4) on May 17th starting at 6:30pm. Come learn more about our goals and the progress of our projects. The chair of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Abraham Lee, will be giving a short talk on his thoughts on how students can contribute to the advancement of global health. Dinner, prizes, and the results of the Biomedical Engineering Student Team (BEST) competition will also be revealed!

THE GOAL: Engineering World Health at UCI strives to mobilize the UCI community to improve the quality of health care in vulnerable communities. We are looking to promote awareness of EWH goals and to increase student membership. Participation at EWH at UCI is open to all UCI students, faculty, and staff of any department and the local community. Join us and see how you can help contribute to the cause!
BEST COMPETITION: The results of the BEST design competition will be presented at the event. Come join us in celebrating the teams and their hard efforts in designing a diagnostic device that can be used to improve healthcare in the developing world.
FREE FOOD: Free dinner will be provided at a first come, first serve basis from the Pizza Bakery.
PRIZES: Raffle tickets for prizes will also be handed to the first 100 guests. You must be present to claim your prize if you win.
VOLUNTEERS: We are also looking for volunteers to help with the setup and clean up. Please contact us if you are interested.
