Calendar  OCTOBER 2011 October 7 - Annual chemistry bonfire, sponsored by Iota Sigma Pi. Friends and family are invited! Hot dogs and water will be provided. Location: Corona del Mar beach bonfire pits Time: 6:30-10:00 pm (chemistry demos start at 8:00 pm) October 16 - Outreach event, National Chemistry Week at the Santa Ana Zoo! We will be teaching kids about how acids and bases are used in cooking. Volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts (9:30-11am, 10:30-12:30, 12-2pm, 1:30-3:30pm)...volunteers receive breakfast or lunch, and free zoo admission for the day. October 19 - Outreach event, Ask-a-Scientist Night - We help advise students while they plan their science fair projects!
