Welcome Event 2013
We want to thank all the attendees to the Photonics@UCI Welcome Event! We are looking forward to start working with all of you.
Our next gathering will be on November 7, we will have elections (remember we have new office positions) and we’ll watch a movie. Also, keep in mind that we have a LOGO CONTEST going to. We are finalists of the 2013 student chapter excellence award for small chapters of the Optical Society of America, OSA. Congratulation to the other finalists and winners!!
Julia, our president, received the finalists plaque in Orlando, Florida, during the annual OSA Student Leadership Conference that takes place right before the Frontiers in Optics 2013 / Laser Science XXIX conference.
