Potluck/Mixer
In collaboration with Public Health Brigades, The Real Food Challenge, and 12 other on-campus organizations, Students for Sustainability will be having a mixer to kick off the beginning of the school year. Join us as we use this time to network and discuss important topics pertaining to each organization. Come enjoy some snacks and learn about sustainability-focused organizations and how you can get involved!

Strawberry season is here and there’s nothing better than ripe strawberries fresh off the vine! Want to learn about organic farming? Join us this Saturday, May 15, 2010 @ 10:30am –12noon at the flagpoles. The strawberry picking includes:
*A guided Wagon Ride around the farm
*A look at how different fruits and vegetables grow
*Tastings of different fruits and vegetables
*Pick and eat your very own STRAWBERRIES
The cost is $13.
We will be carpooling so please email and let us know if you can drive or need a ride.

Students for Sustainability (S4S) would like to invite you to meet an exciting and engaging guest speaker, Kurt, from the Ocean Defenders Alliance, a nonprofit organization that focuses on cleaning up the Southern California ocean floor.
The Ocean Defenders Alliance recruit volunteers to dive down to remove ocean debris like old lobster cages, ropes. The work is rewarding and effective. After only a couple years the ecosystem in that location is completely restored! Kurt will be sharing his diving experience and explain the world over fishing crisis and its impacts on the ecosystem. Join us at our meeting, this Thursday May 13, 2010 from 7-8pm in HH210. Delicious free refreshments will be provided.
