Meeting 2-28: iPhone Game Development
Interested in getting into iPhone development? Representatives from local indie iPhone developer MegaEpic will be giving a talk at the next VGDC meeting about the challenges of iPhone development, including tools, tips, and those all important first steps.
The meeting is at the usual time, CalIt2 Room 3008, at 6:30 on Monday the 28th.
Speaker 11-1: Ron Hodge
Ron Hodge has worked in the game industry since 1995 in testing, production, and design, and has worked at a number of different companies including Interplay, THQ, and Javagrounds. He’ll be speaking to the club about surviving in the industry, negotiation with publishers, and the flow of game design in the industry.
He’s also looking for experienced students interested in helping with the development of a proof of concept 3d shooter, so you more experienced CS majors should be sure not to miss this one, it could be a good opportunity for some of you.
Speaker 10-18 : Richard Yale of Vortex Games
Richard Yale, President and Founder of Vortex Games will be speaking to the VGDC this coming Monday about the process of starting and running a small game company. Richard graduated from UCI in 2008, and started Vortex Games in February of this year. More info on Vortex Games here: http://www.VortexGamesInc.com
