Core FTP
Core FTP is a secure FTP client for Microsoft Windows, developed by CoreFTP.com. Features include FTP, SSL/TLS, SFTP via SSH, and HTTP/HTTPS support. Secure FTP clients encrypt account information and data transferred across the internet, protecting data from being seen or sniffed across networks. Core FTP is a traditional FTP client with local files displayed on the left, remote files on the right.

Configuring Core FTP for use with your CORE account
1. After downloading Core FTP from our Downloads board, install it like a typical program and then start the program. You should see this:

2. To create a new FTP site connection, click the button in the upper left that has two up and down arrows. Then you should come to this screen:
3. Click on the “New Site” button. You should come to this screen (fill out all settings as shown):
4.Click “Connect.” The FTP site connection should be automatically saved in Core FTP’s list of FTP site connections. Upon connecting, you should come to this screen:

Note that on the right side you can now see the contents of your server. On the left side you should still see the contents of your local hard drive. To transfer files onto the server from your local machine, you may either navigate using the window on the left side, or you may drag and drop items onto the server as shown below. Make sure the first item you upload to your new website is called “index.html” as this file will be the default homepage that users see upon visiting your website URL. Edit this index file however you like to include links, images, and text. Your FTP connection might timeout every once in a while – simply reconnect as normal.
